Travel Diaries….. The Magical Pink Hotel and flying Emirates…… with 3 children 👩🏾👨🏻‍🦲👧🏽👧🏽👶🏽

So as most of you would know, or seen on my Instagram, my husband Gary and I took our children to the Atlantis palm hotel in Dubai for a bargain price of £525pp for 5 nights in an Queen imperial club room half board.

After going in 2018 just ourselves we knew that our children would love it and that we had to take them. As a family of 5 flying more than 3 hours and in economy I was a little apprehensive. As you all know I like the luxuries in life and always fly premium for my holidays. Due to us flying with Emirates who do not have a premium and I wasn’t paying their business class prices we chose to fly economy. I did select the section that was a preferred section of economy which has only 8 or 9 rows. Then the full cabin is in another section. To go in the preferred section is usually around £26 per adult and £18 per child extra but I got it for free 😁😁😁.

You guys know that I like the word free it’s my favourite word. Haha.

But anyway my fears of economy with Emirates were quickly eradicated. I would fly economy (in the preferred section) with Emirates anytime. I must say you didn’t feel like a sardine, they really go out of their way for families which makes it so much more relaxing and easy. They even have a separate immigration check for families to make it quicker, they were great. Upon boarding our children were giving water and also a activity pack for them to enjoy during the flight. I also liked the fact that you can start watching the entertainment straight away, it does stop to go through emergency procedures but we could get something on and ready for kiddies straight away. Also the children’s meals came out before serving the adults which I felt was so much better, as you can settle your children with their food before getting yours. Also the stewards came around and took a Polaroid picture for us to take home for memories. That was the sweetest touch. So all in all I would definitely fly economy Emirates again and for me that is a biggie. ✈️✈️✈️

Right now onto our holiday, so once again we booked the Imperial Club room, which gives you extra benefits which includes free transfers from the airport to the hotel, the only thing is that its only for up to 2 adults and 2 children, being a family of 5 we had to pay and extra £60 which was annoying but it is what it is. After immigration we went straight to the Atlantis desk where they allocated us a vehicle within 5 minutes and walked us out to meet our driver, then we was on our way. I was dropping asleep in the transfers I was shattered I only had a few hours sleep on the plane, but I tell you once I heard Bella screech ‘WOOOOW’ as we pulled up to the hotel I woke up very quickly. That feeling again of excitement rushed through me and I could see that Bella, Tiarra and BabyG were all so eager to get out the car and go in.

I love that the entrance to the Atlantis has a red carpet makes you feel like royalty every time you walk in and their was no one there when we arrived outside so we really did feel like royalty. We arrived at the hotel at around 8.30am so straight away we were taken to the imperial club check in, to have breakfast. We always had breakfast in the imperial club, it’s smaller and it’s not a big rush like the Buffett restaurants can get.

After breakfast, we asked kiddies what they wanted to do and straight away it was waterpark, the Atlantis has its very own water park called Aquaventre it’s huge and has something for any child of any age and adults. We ended up going to the waterpark everyday except 1 because the children loved it so much. So we walked down to the waterpark but we had to stop and see the fishes, yes this hotel has a aquarium in it. Every morning we would go down say morning to the fishes then go have breakfast, BabyG was obsessed with them.

What I can say though is if you go to Dubai with children this hotel really does have it all. When Gary and I go away with the children we do like to have a date evening meal just the two of us. It’s nice to just unwind as it’s your holiday too. Gary and I went to Hakkasan restaurant in the Atlantis for our meal and it was delicious. We put our younger children in the Atlantis kids club they were having a superhero night, right up BabyG street, so they had no problems going there. Tiarra being a bit older went in the tweens hangout it was £7 but she could play in there right up till 11 pm and it is supervised. She had so much fun she went every evening after when she could. We was out our meal by 9pm so we got the younger two and took them to the Lost Chambers Aquarium inside the hotel. It doesn’t shut until 10 so we just had a look and they were running around, looking at sharks, jelly fish and all sorts..

The Atlantis has a new restaurant/ entertainment area called The Wavehouse, this wasn’t there the last time we came so this was new to all of us. But we had so much fun, you can have a meal in there, play bowling, they also have a wave machine, you know the ones that you usually see on cruise ships. They have a indoor play area (free if you are dining extra if you are not) and so many arcade games, they even have a few virtual reality games which the kids loved. So you buy credits on a card and swipe the card on whichever machine you are playing. Then you win tickets, the more point the more tickets the more tickets the better the prizes that you can get. It was so much fun, it does get busy but still a lot of fun for all ages.

So while we was in Dubai it was Tiarra’s birthday, we got a free Dubai Parks ticket with our booking from Emirates (thank you very much) so we decided to go to motiongate.

Now Motiongate is a lil far out we used a Uber like service called careem to take us there but had drama getting back but it’s doable. This place was brilliant, I would say the best theme park I have been too baring disneyworld of course. But the best place to take children with all different ages, it had rides for all of them, it had a shrek world, how to train your dragon world, Madagascar even hunger games. It was fantastic can not recommend it more. Some of it is indoors with air conditioning which was a God send and some was outdoor but there was no queue and we went on rides over and over again. If you are going Dubai with kids you have to visit you really do.

So yes in a nut shell if you are going to Dubai with children, you really don’t have to worry their are so many things for them to do and see, and it is so safe, I think because the punishments are so severe no one really commits any crime, we felt totally safe with our children, we took the, on the monorail, bus, taxi and never felt worried. It really is a place to see and enjoy with the family.

So…. what are you waiting for? ….. #visitdubai

Love Always,
